Dear Community Partner

DearCommunityPartner

Premier Health recognizes that partnering with local organizations, community leaders, and area residents is one of the primary forces that drives our mission to improve the health of those we serve. Such collaborations are a hallmark of our region, making it a healthier and more vibrant place to live, work, and play.

It is through these partnerships that we identify emerging societal needs and develop community benefit programs that take health care beyond the walls of our hospitals and deliver it where people often need it most – right in their own neighborhoods.

Each year, we provide this report to share in detail with you our commitment to outreach and partnerships and the measurable difference that we are entrusted to make each day on behalf of local residents. Across Southwest Ohio, you’ll find our healing presence takes many forms. Our care doesn’t just live inside the walls of our award-winning hospitals, clinics, and providers’ offices – it goes well beyond to local schools, food pantries, and area businesses. It’s alive and well inside our more than 13,000 employees, both where they work and in the local communities that they call home. Our care truly does live here.

For 2018, Premier Health invested more than $210 million in community benefits, including more than $150 million in free care and other unpaid services to low-income families. This care for our communities is a testament to the commitment and compassion of our partners, our providers, our locally based Board of Trustees, our staff, and our volunteers across the health system.

I invite you to discover in the pages of this annual Community Impact Report just a few examples of how our mission comes to life locally. Premier Health is improving the health of local communities through outreach at local barbershops; support for the uninsured and underserved; an expanded mission to address addiction, mental health, and homelessness; help for families who are navigating a significant diagnosis for an unborn child; our presence in the community during times of disaster, both natural and man-made; and more.

Thank you for your continued support of the health and well-being of our communities. If you have any questions about the information shared in
