Amy AndersAmy Anders earned her undergraduate degree from Missouri State University in biology. She completed graduate work at the University of Southern Mississippi in exercise science. She is a certified strength and conditioning specialist. Amy joined Premier Health in 1997. Her interests include watching her Kansas City sports teams – the Royals, the Chiefs and Sporting KC – as well as hiking, biking and reading. Amy learned about athletic training after her own sports-related injury. “When I was in high school, athletic trainers were not really heard of. We had a nurse who came out to the football games and that was all. When I suffered a knee injury, I had to do off-site physical therapy so that I could return to my sport. I didn’t learn what an athletic trainer was until almost three years later in college.”
