Frequently Asked Questions

Miami Valley Hospital partners with Cedarville University to offer a teaching certificate that helps prepare pharmacy residents for successful didactic and clinical teaching. The program can be tailored to the career aspirations of each resident.

Miami Valley Hospital’s pharmacy residencies welcome applications from non-U.S. citizens who have a green card or current visa valid through the duration of the residency program.

Registration, hotel, and airfare are covered. A meal stipend of $55/day is also included.

As a Miami Valley Hospital pharmacy resident, you will present your research at ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting and Ohio Northern University’s Ohio Pharmacy Residency Conference (OPRC).

Each resident works with our Pharmacy Research Coordinator to select a project for the residency year.

Members of our team attend OSHP’s Residency Showcase each year and ASHP’s Midyear Clinical Meeting. We also offer an in-person and online open house each November.

Interviews are conducted onsite. Online interviews will be offered to candidates when distance (more than 250 miles) is a barrier.

All residents entering the program must be fully licensed by September 30. Failure to become licensed by this date will likely result in the resident's dismissal from the program.
